From her humble beginnings organizing intimate chef events at local restaurants, Kat has quickly grown her career and expanded her areas of expertise. In 2005, Kat founded Gourmet Events Hawaii (GEH) in an effort to provide exceptional hospitality and memorable events for clients across industries. Ten years later, she broadened her skillset to include spearheading Aloha Hospitality Professionals (ALOHA), founded on the commitment to elevate Hawaii’s staffing industry and deliver excellence through service to others. Her most recent venture, Kau Kau Box, was created at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to serve the local community; keep hospitality professionals working; and support local farmers, fishermen, and businesses.
A recipient of the coveted Pacific Business News (PBN) Women Who Mean Business Award, Kat has been invited to speak at events, conferences, and meetings across the nation. She is a proud member of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association, Hawaii Visitors & Conventions Bureau, Leading Caterers of America, Meeting Professionals International, and Retail Merchants of Hawaii.
While spearheading her latest endeavor NxtGen Staffing, Kat has made the move to San Francisco and currently splits her time between Mill Valley, California, and Honolulu, Hawaii. A proud wife and mother of two sons, Kat is also an outdoor enthusiast, and loves to hike, bike, and spend time in nature with her family.
